Yew Log-Small Table Clock

Approximately 50.6mm wide x 110.5mm high x 30.4mm deep
Quartz movement Roman faced clock insert
Finished with the Liberon Finishing oil and a green Suede Tex was used on the base

This neat little clock was designed and made from the log / branch of a wind damaged Yew tree felled in the grounds of an old church in the area of Tretower near Crickhowell in South Wales, UK. The clock is fitted with a fine quality Quartz movement gold plated Roman faced clock which is approximately 30.5mm in diameter. If you look closely towards the top of the clock, you can see the remains of an old nail that most probably was connected to an old fence in the grounds of the church yard, the nail was embedded deep inside the Yew log which means that it as most likely been there for well over 30 years plus††††

This Yew Clock would make an ideal gift for anyone at any time of the year. A neat little gift hand crafted in Wales on the Brecon Beacons national park by David Martin-(Creative Welsh Woodturning)
